Training programmes are provided remotely via Zoom or at a venue of your choice, and can accommodate up-to 16 participants (unless otherwise agreed).  

Staff Development

In order to identify your desired outcomes the first step is an initial consultation on the telephone or Zoom. I will then provide a detailed proposal outlining the approach I believe will best meet your needs – such as training, coaching, Action Learning Sets, team building or a combination of these approaches.

Criminal Justice

I have developed a suite of criminal justice training based on my extensive knowledge and experience. These modules are comprehensive, up-to-date and practical. They are intended to meet the needs of experienced staff as well as those who are new to the criminal justice world.

Module 1: One-day introduction to the criminal justice system, criminal justice process and partnership agencies. 

Module 2: Two-day a practical approach for staff working with justice involved people. This module explores the reasons why people offend, it looks at the different needs of people who offend and how we can support them effectively to desist from crime. Informed and shaped by up-to-date evidence-based tools, models and approaches which have been found to support desistance. This module is appropriate for staff working in specialist offender services and service for people with complex needs. 

Module 3: Three-day combines Modules 1 and 2 to provide a comprehensive training programme for staff working with justice involved people.

Person-Centred Support

These modules are focused on developing the skills of staff and managers working with people who; are involved in the justice system, have experience of homelessness, misuse substances, have experienced trauma, are in recovery and/or have complex needs.

The Person-Centred Support Development Programme is a 5-day training programme which covers all aspects of person-centred support. It is designed to facilitate the effective implementation of the following approaches: Psychologically Informed Environments (PIE); Positive Behaviour Support (PBS); Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP); and other person-centred approaches. The programme can be tailored to meet your specific needs and delivered as a 1-day introduction up to a 5-day comprehensive person-programme depending upon which modules you wish to include. Partnership Working

I work with; boards, committees, teams and multi-agency partnerships to facilitate the development of effective collaborative working arrangements this may involve team building, information sharing, co-located hub creation, IOM (Integrated Offender Management) and other partnership approaches.

Homelessness

I provide specialist training to Local Housing Authorities, Housing Associations and VCS/Third Sector providers, to support the effective delivery of homeless services. These include; Partnership Working for Effective Outcomes, Influencing and Communication Skills, Change Management, Trauma-Informed Practice (TIP), Criminal Justice and Homelessness and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
